Magpie or Peacock? As I have written before, I wonder if I was a Magpie in a past life. Where ever I live I subconsciously surround myself with colorful and shiny objects (see my house) . But if I were a bird it is the Peacock and their feathers that I really admire. Who wouldn’t be memorized with blue and green iridescence of Peacock feathers when the fan out their tails.
I am going to share a secret with you – if you know me … this might not come as a surprise…. I have always wanted to do something colorful to my hair… just like the Peacocks feathers. Maybe in a past life I envied a feathered friend who was a Peacock.
Much to my delight…today on Emily Jane ‘s blog she posted a link that showed how to get that colorful Peacock look on hair!
Checked out this tutorial “Tipped Out” my hair is not blond but wouldn’t something like this be fun?
By the way… I got this photo from an interesting website. It is a source for feathers of all colors and sizes. Just in case you needed a source for feathers!
I thought that was really cool, too! I might consider it if I let my hair grow out more…I just have to be careful because my color is a platinum and the ends are usually pretty fried!
Some of my lady friends put feathers in their hair with some kind of crimp! It looked neat!
Karen – Let me know if you do it – I’m thinking maybe at the end of September so people think it might be for Halloween! Love the feathers… but at my age… I might get strange look.
Hello Ms. Colorsmith….how funny we both think along the same lines today! I think as I get older I’m getting gutsier. I just want to reflect on the outside how I feel on the inside and color=happy. I would love to get a tattoo, also…I am seriously considering it, but I just don’t know what to get yet. Hmmm…maybe a peacock!
Thanks for the little plug my dear. I can’t wait to see you hair! Be sure to post photos of it when you eventually color it. I will, too!
I’ve always wanted (guess what?!) pink and purple hair (I know, shocking!) but work has always gotten in the way of it…maybe I’ll have to wait til I retire and be a bright-haired Grannyrocking the pink look then! Do the peacock Cami!
